But now she has a stalker on social media who is sending her posts from her crime scenes and following her each steps. She is dead set against murdering animals (agreed here) but she kills men? For a ghosting her friend? The waste amount of hidden feminism. Sorry, not my thing. At least not in this amount. Not all men are bad. Not all women are good and the other way around.

Brent said: “ How To Kill Men has been my passion project for the past two years and kept me sane(ish) during the now infamous Unprecedented Times. I’m so excited that Kitty Collins – and I – have found a home with HQ. I can’t wait for everyone to meet her.” With a succession of gasp-inducing twists and reveals, plus a flurry of love, How to Kill Men and Get Away With It is outrageously gruesome, and devilishly funny with it. i really loved how each chapter showed the name of the location they were in (ie certain restaurants or a certain hotel, etc.) History Makers: Female Writers Dominate the 2023 William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award Shortlist

I raced through this humour-laden murderous romp over the space of a couple of evenings.' NetGalley reviewer, The casual, conversational writing style is paired with a satirical narrative that is both uncomfortable and entertaining in its use of dark humour and commentary on social issues. Vivid (sometimes gruesome) details and smooth transitions between current and past events also enhance the story and keep it engaging.

There's also the fact that she pretends to "save" women from the men to justify her murders, but she's also condescending towards basically every woman she encounters. Why bother "helping" women if you can't stand any of them.Next we have the plant-based meat of this story: the revenge murders. Again, love the concept. And obviously for a story like this, yeeting of disbelief is required. But the murders were TOO laughably solvable. Homegirl was using Tinder to set up these men and you're telling me police didn't cotton on to that? Ok. At least try to do some basic forensic countermeasures like use a burner phone. Even Finlay Donovan was tighter than this. Coming to the characters – all were annoying esp. Kitty, who was hypocritical. She hates being an influencer, cribs about it, and yet goes on to enjoy the perks of the lifestyle that her profession offers. Even her friends were quite shallow. I want to thank NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for sending me this eARC in exchange for my honest review. I hadn’t intended to kill him of course. But I wasn’t displeased when I did and, despite the mess I made, I appeared to get away with it. She’s the granddaughter of Captain Collins- founder of Collins' Cuts, the reconstructed meat products you see in every freezer and supermarket in the UK. But interestingly she rejects to inherit the bloody family money and staying away from meat products. She still grieves her father who disappeared under false circumstances and she has estranged relationship with her mother who escaped to France, giving her daughter the luxurious London penthouse as farewell gift!

As the ash and chaos from Mount Rainier’s eruption swirled and finally settled, the story of the Greenloop massacre has passed unnoticed, unexamined . . . until now. For a person like me who is usually unfazed by it, the play-by-play account esp. of animal slaughter really got to me (I am a Jain vegetarian and I felt this was just criminal). So, if you are a vegan, vegetarian, animal lover, or just generally repulsed by cruelty, this book will surely give you the creeps. The next victim also made his bed. She didn’t intend to hurt him. She just wanted him apologize! Oh boy, what the hell is wrong with those guys? This book is dark and I'd say there are definitely sexual assault triggers. The murders done by Kitty can be a bit gruesome. But none of it took away from my enjoyment of the book. Although dark, there is a bunch of dark humor mixed in. I absolutely, massively disliked Kitty. I do realise that she was written like that on purpose, but come on, I can take it only that long… It’s possible I’m not necessarily the target audience for this one as I’m a bit long in the tooth for the Insta Influencer malarkey but that being said, I didn’t half enjoy it! Whilst it makes good points about Male ‘entitlement’ it doesn’t do so in a preachy way, it actually makes more of an impact via the darkly funny, ironic even sarcastic tone the author strikes. Despite her many flaws (apart from the killing obviously) I do like Kitty and her self deprecating tone. She’s intriguing with a great mix of personality traits in a bit of a Villanelle kind of a way. You can totally see too, the influence of Made in Chelsea with some of her friends - I rather enjoy that too!
