About this deal

Whilst Troy does not know the extent of Tobey's undesirable traits, he still makes him out and sees him for what he truly is. Hotjar sets this cookie to know whether a user is included in the data sampling defined by the site's pageview limit.

The story is fully engaging and tension is ramped up through frequent cliffhangers and illuminating moments of flashback to a fateful dinner party. It still sticks to the alternating narrative, with more characters taking it in turns to show their perspective. I have been a massive fan of this series but the last two booke felt unnecessary and it just dragged. The cliffhanger ending will leave fans desperately awaiting the next installment' Mail on Sunday, 'Must-Read Books of the year, 2019' on Crossfire . This gives a good place to stop if you need to go and do something, as well as clearly distinguishing the difference between the developments of the characters. There were ten seats at Dan’s dinner party the night he was killed and each guest had their own reasons for wishing him dead.

I didn’t quite fly through this one like I did Crossfire, but I could have read it a lot quicker if I had the time to pick it up a bit more. As we get older, many of us stop keeping diaries, and some of us go on to the adult version -- journaling. Still a strong four-star read for me - a great collection of books which will no doubt be treasured on readers' bookshelves for many years, together with other great YA series like Harry Potter and His Dark Materials - 9/10. There were several different storylines that veered between two murder mysteries, a political thriller, a kidnapping, the corrupt government and racial prejudices. But I felt like I'd been hoping for something great and all I got was an average crime novel, one which just happened to be set in a world I know and love from previous books.

Since Checkmate, I’ve had an instant dislike to this pairing and that’s only been solidified in this book. Throughout, I really didn’t want anything bad at all to happen to any of the characters, but I knew that this was highly unlikely, making Endgame even more heart-wrenching! The attempt to introduce a whodunnit storyline to a series that really didn’t need it, felt terribly forced and added nothing to the series as a whole. I could never have imagined how detailled Endgame’s plot was – it was so intricate and complex with twists and turns around every corner.

Over the years, Tobey has attributed his achievements to hard work and his purpose as doing good in the world, when really, it was down to his criminal involvement in being the mastermind behind a notorious gang.good stuff even if Blackman didn't totally hit the nail on the head for the type of emotive writing which would truly gut me. Mel's religious parents insist she must keep the baby, whilst Sid's feminist mum pushes for a termination. It picks up almost immediately after the events of the fifth book, with the narrative perspectives focusing on seven characters known throughout the last six books, one of whom remains a mystery for the majority of the book. The first Nought Prime Minister, Tobey Durbridge, is about to go on trial for the murder of notorious ganglord, Dan Jeavons.

Either way, these books will always have a place in my heart, and I will be forever recommending them.

I also feel like it did stop us from seeing a large amount of character development, which may have been why I didn’t feel such a connection to them. However, Endgame had so much (sometimes too much) going on, these articles actually slowed the story down a considerable bit.
