About this deal

Our first son loved to be swaddled from birth, and was one of the key triggers for him sleeping soundly each nap and bedtime. The Grosnug allows you to swaddle arms in or out for a great night's sleep and is the only bedding you'll need for your newborn. I love that there is no folding necessary – for a newbie like me, swaddling late at night seems like it could take a while to master. Now 2 months old, she is getting close to the maximum weight for the Grosnug, so we have now moved onto the traditional Gro Bag.

The Gro Snug is designed to be wider on the bottom half so that baby has room to move their legs but is tighter across the chest. Due to my baby having reflux and often being sick during the night, the bag has been washed several times and the material has maintained its good quality (no fading or bobbling) and it dries very quickly. I knew we had to find a solution and something safer than just placing him with a blanket over him instead (where he could get the blanket over his mouth/face etc by accident) and when I went to purchase sleeping bags for him instead believing that would be the safe answer – I was surprised to see that really there was none on the market suitable generally. We tried it and it was fantastic, easy to get a wriggly baby into and there was no need to disturb her too much in the event of a nappy change as the zip at the bottom means it could be done easily.Overall I was really impressed with the Grosnug, particularly in those first few weeks at home with our newborn. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). One of the biggest positives I found during our Grosnug review, is that its design still ensures that nappy changes aren’t a challenge, even in a dimly lit room. Once an item is removed from the packaging, the item must be handled through the manufacturer, according to federal law.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Me too, it was my sister in law who first told me about The Gro Company when she was pregnant with my nephew. I do tend to take her arms out towards the end of the night anyway as she normally ends the night in my bed, so I might just try doing it earlier. Agree about not getting into grobags as early as you might think although I had a JoJo 0-6 month one that DD grew out of ages before her gro one so they do vary. It's great that there is a range of thicknesses to suit all room temperatures (and that you get a simple but effective room thermometer to help you decide what baby should be wearing) and some really lovely designs to choose from.

One of the reasons I love a sleeping bag is that I think it’s a really good signal to baby from an early age that it is bedtime.

With the hot summer we are experiencing it is also nice to know exactly what to dress her in under the grosnug using the helpful guidance given on the packaging. We used the grosnuggle and it worked well in the early days as it stopped DD waking herself up by waving her hands around. The only way we could get her to sleep was to swaddle her, something my husband wasn’t great at, and we were unsure about due to the heatwave when she was born. The Grosnug is available in two different weights – Light and Cosy, and both extremely easy to use in the night and day.
