About this deal

If you have a hard time listening to this start to finish, watch that movie and feel the music in a new way. While my opinion of that excellent piece of animation is mixed (I just didn't dig the story or think most of it matched the songs all that well), it did something to me.

Very quiet in between tracks that aren’t gapless with lots of crispy bass and everything sounding even and true, levels are great and no discernible distortion towards the middle of the disc, probably helped by the fact that it’s a 2 disc affair and the run out on each disc is pretty large keeping a lot of the “music” towards the outer edge as much as possible. In March 2001, the electronic duo released their second album discovery, a total of 14 tracks, driven by the hit singles one more time, aérodynamic, harder better faster stronger, digital love…a multi-platinum album. I love how shiny it is especially, there's nothing as great as owning a physical copy of an album you love so much in pristine, high quality condition.

Aerodynamic" eschews breakbeats for an Yngwie Malmsteen-ish guitar interlude that somehow ends up meshing in a crazy blend of stomping bass lines and hyped-up harmonics. Daft Punk's defining album comes directly from the horses' mouths, seeing a new vinyl edition in 2022 released via the ex-duo's own Daft Life Ltd. My other favorite tracks include "Nightvision", "Superheroes" (why do I actually think of comic book superheroes when I hear that song?

After a spell of being aggravatingly out of print, Daft Punk's Discovery finally repressed on their own Daft Life imprint. Included is a sheet with a credit card with a "member personal access code"; expiration date 12/02, to be used at www.With no frills or fluff, every original track on their third album from 2001 appears here in crunching glory, not sounding an inch rougher or time-weathered. Two years later we made the move to our present address, 35 The Headrow, where we have remained ever since. Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" is a resounding standout amidst the retro/Vocoder deluge that transpired after Cher's Believe turned the kitchy disco device into a worldwide pop music trend, spinning a clever groove around an ever-escalating string of computerized seduction.
