Similar issues as the Orange Bricks, but they did more strategic cutting for the aspect ratio, so people's faces weren't cut off when talking. Of course there's also things like edited episode 68, which would have to have been a special feature in addition to the uncut equivalent because its 30 minutes long.

The set contains the full 291-episode run of the Dragon Ball Z anime series, starting with Goku's duels against Radditz, Vegeta, and Nappa during season one's Saiyan Saga, and concluding with the Buu Saga in season nine. It started when one of my old VHS tapes that I recorded off Toonami glitched and broke my VCR (Agh, I can't replace that! be/4jWfw-rrZrEI hate this video, because it doesn't acknowledge the flaws of the Dragon Boxes or Level Sets.It should be noted that there are other ways to justify frame-by-frame remastering, including DVNR process, color correction, and 1080p HD transfer. Minimal redubbing is present with Kyle Hebert redubbing Christopher Sabat as Ox King but no longer as the narrator despite his earlier work sounding deeper than most of his narration (he was retaining consistency with Dale Kelly at the time). The new box features a nice bright orange colour that is similar to the original “orange brick” DVD set, while also showcasing some iconic imagery of Goku, Frieza, and Super Saiyan 2 Gohan. One of Chi-Chi's lines in " Goku's Special Technique" is voice matched by Lydia Mackay in place of her usual actress Cynthia Cranz due to Cranz not being available for recording it. But ya the black crush is nothing compared to how screwed up the color is in the dragon boxes and even the 30th aniversary set suffers tint problems.

A reason for this may be that FUNimation just created that side to show the audience how the prints did somewhat look alike.

And some people think an incomplete release is a deal breaker which is silly imo but that makes even the level sets ranking controversial. The limited edition box set will contain the entire 291 episode series as well as a hardback artbook and 11-inch grandista Goku figure. Which is funny in of itself, since FUNi only put the 53 edited (of the original 67 on the uncut side) episodes that the Ocean Studios cast did on the RTD set when it's not even the group of VA's that are so intricately synonymous with the dub version nowadays and also the ones they've mostly distanced themselves from for the most part since 2005 when the UUE redub of the Saiyan and Namek arcs (as well as the redubs of Z movies 1-3) came along. All that said, I would only recommend the Dragon Boxes to the most enthusiastic of fans, given the nature of the market around them. The people who actually care about the edited Funi dub from Ginyu Assault onward are probably a microscopic niche tbh.
