Fans will recognize beloved characters, creatures, locations, and more as they embark on a journey through the wizarding world, from the depths of Gringotts to the heights of Hogwarts Castle. Give the gift of magic to established Potter fans or newly curious readers with this Harry Potter Complete Collection (Adult covers) boxed set. The back cover shows a letter-carried owl, Albus Dumbledore, a Bludger, and a key, which is dropped by an owl.

To bring these creatures to life onscreen, an extraordinary team of artists created a huge collection of sketches, drawings, paintings, and digital renders, drawing some creatures from established mythology and others from the depths of their imagination. In February 2017, in celebrating 20 years of Harry Potter, Bloomsbury released four new special covers each in both paperback and hardback; created by Levi Pinfold, the covers represent each of the Hogwarts Houses. In 2009, both books received redesigned covers, with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them having a painting of Hogwarts' coat of arms with the animals escaping the frame, and Quidditch Through the Ages having a Golden Snitch in a blue background.

The European Portuguese translations of the books are published by Editorial Presença, while Brazilian Portuguese translations are published by Editora Rocco. The Lithuanian translations of the books, published by Alma Littera, used to use Mary GrandPré's art work.

It includes not only hundreds of pieces of stunning pre-production artwork - which are wonderful in themselves - but also sections for things like maps, set construction blueprints, and the MinaLima graphical elements from the Wizarding World such as 'Wanted' posters, product labels, wizard book covers, etc. In the distance, the forest's pointed pine trees mirror the pointed towers of the castle, while a unicorn gallops by. In 2010, Dutch pocket editions were created to boost sales in the Netherlands by Uitgeverij De Harmonie. The fact is, this image has long been something for me to live down as much as it is something to be proud of, and the idea that it might be the crowning glory of my working life (hinted at by some, even now) is not appealing.

A second design used the same illustrations as the full cover, along with the familiar Harry Potter logo. Before they could exist on-screen, the look of each extraordinary set was developed in the minds and on the sketchpads of concept artists brought in to work on the films. The original was illustrated in pastel by noted artist Mary GrandPré, who has created the book cover and chapter art for the entire Harry Potter series.

The alternate paperback editions has Snape running into the woods for Sorcerer's Stone and the Chamber of Secrets for Chamber of Secrets. This guide is jam-packed with film photographs, fascinating facts and fold-out sections of the infamous Marauders’ Map. The original Bloomsbury back cover includes a rather bizarre-looking figure (whose face also adorns the spine) who was created by the illustrator. K. Rowling herself approved the cover art, [9] as well as making minor adjustments to appease the fans.

Covering topics such as the founding figures, traditional ceremonies, staffing and artwork, this book will undoubtedly enlighten your experience of Harry Potter. A treasure trove of wizarding wonders suitable for readers of all ages, it's all here, waiting to be explored.

Brimming with magical delights and spellbinding scenes, our deluxe edition invites fans new and old to discover the wizarding tale as never before. Upon celebrating Harry Potter's 20th anniversary, brand new sets of cover art created by Jekaterina Budrytė were commissioned. The covers were revealed on Pottermore on 18 October, 2016, [3] the art of which also has alternative version with the English book titles sold as prints. The School Market Edition has Harry getting his wand in Ollivanders with Hagrid and Garrick Ollivander. The cover art created by either Bloomsbury or Scholastic are re-used on many, but not all, international editions of the books.
