If someone out there has vinyl copies of the original and later pressings, there are probably subtle runout variations that could differentiate the pressings. When he saw the results — "I knew it was the perfect shot - simple, straightforward, graphic and just so sexy. The record is a heavy version 150-180 grams I guess, and the front cover has a sticker with black background and "The Strokes" in white letters and "Is This It" in red. Three singles were released from the album: 'Hard to Explain'/'New York City Cops', 'Last Nite', and 'Someday'.

The Strokes' "Is This It" on limited edition vinyl is an essential addition to any music lover's collection. My only complaints are the package feels like it's missing a lyric sheet and I'm not too keen on the vinyl splatter, would've preferred a teal-ish colour to match the cover art. The album was released during the Summer of 2001 on different dates in different territories to coincide with or capitalise on live performances: Australia (July 30, 2001), Japan (August 22), UK (August 27). The New Yorkers’ kickstarter for the 2000s indie scene spawned numerous singles including 'The Modern Age', 'Someday', 'Hard To Explain', and remains cherished by fans old and new.Following the success of their earlier singles, the Strokes have again found success with songs such as Hard to Explain and Barely Legal. Now, in this limited edition vinyl release, listeners have the opportunity to experience the magic of the album in its purest form. The guitars have a satisfying crunch, the drums punch through with intensity, and Julian Casablancas' iconic vocals take center stage in a way that feels raw and unfiltered. This version doesn't have "When It Started" like the VMP pressing, but that is the weakest song on the album IMO. Released in 2001, the album captured a zeitgeist for the hedonism of late nights in sticky-floored dive bars.
