Also included is a five-year warranty against all mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing defects. These Lee Stafford Academy straighteners felt so smooth moving through my hair, thanks to the nano silver titanium plates.

My hair was left straight, smooth and frizz-free – something that I struggle with achieving as my hair although thick is quite fine.EASY TO USE – Nano silver titanium flat iron plates allow your hair to glide through with ease in one effortless flow. These straighteners come with a five year guarantee, which I think is great as if you’re using them every day, they’ll get a lot of use. I have many chronic illnesses which impact my life in various ways and they have made me a big mental health advocate.

Luckily I was recently sent a set of Lee Stafford Hair Straighteners to review to help solve my frizz problem. Heat wise I did have to place them back into the pod more often than I expected as they cooled down quite quickly for the thickness of my hair but overall I really enjoy using them! They are extremely quick to heat up and you can straighten a whole head of long hair in around 10 minutes or so.Lee Stafford’s Rainbow Shine weigh in at a fairly lightweight 282g, with a thick, durable 3-metre cable and a heat mat and carry case in the box. As well as safe-guarding strands from heat styling at up to 250°C, it also tames frizz, calms flyaways, reduces static and delivers light reflective shine for gorgeously glowing hair. We’d also argue that the temperature isn’t as evenly spread across the plates as pricier models such as the GHD Gold; strands of hair at either end of a section tended to need going over again to achieve the same result as the middle part.

The Sun Online has previously explained how to check your fridge fridge freezer and pick the right smoke alarm. I do think all straighteners should beep if you’ve been using them for x amount of time just in case you have forgotten to switch them off!A friendly 40 something blogger who loves to chat, listen to music, read, bake and watch Grey's Anatomy My Three and Me features the family life of a West Yorkshire mum, her husband, their three boys, and their pets. I think my hair has too many layers in it to work that well but I’m sure if you have any hair skills you would be able to do a better job!

Step 1: Cleanse and condition hair to prep for smooth styling with your favourite Lee Stafford Coco Loco Shine Shampoo and Conditioner. Hair that's dry or dehydrated is more likely to build up static electricity, so keeping it moisturised really helps. It’s a really good product to use especially if you’re in a rush and don’t want to spend ages on doing your hair.

The straighteners feel nice and sturdy, they are not overly heavy, something very important for me, and they have a 3 metre long swivel cord. The controls are on the inside of the plates, so you don’t accidentally switch them off, and you can press the arrows to heat up or cool down. The automatic shut off is brilliant and gives me peace of mind and a 5 year guarantee is just perfect. At the base of the straighteners is a lock button, which pushes in and out on either side to lock or release them. Hair that's dry and dehydrated is also more likely to be prone to static, so keeping it moisturised can help keep things sleek and silky.
