About this deal

Tuxedo is sweeter and has more of the caramelized bourbon vanilla in it that the YSL Exclusive Line is known for. It's also a dna with quality ingredients, finer smoother blending, which just makes Tuxedo smell so elegant! lots seront mis en jeu et comportent chacun les deux produits suivants (ci-après le ou les« Lot(s) ») : Une eau de parfum 90 mL Mademoiselle Rochas de ROCHAS d’une valeur de 57€ et uneeau de parfum 100mL L’Homme Rochas de ROCHAS d’une valeur de 85€. Patchouli brings the camphoric accent of its damp roots, emphasized by Amber Benzoin and Vanilla. But where does this amazing virility come from? The woody notes of course, which structure the whole composition... It's deep, thrilling and hot to the touch. This is a great example that both frags are good, because of how wide the price margin is between the two. Although, Tuxedo is the clear winner in quality of elegant scent.

The freshness in the morning to wake up, either from fruity shower gel or the smoothie for breakfast. In the office it appears clear and structured, almost synthetic, unobtrusive and likeable. Towards the end he becomes warm and cuddly. You would just have to make sure that you are already out of the office and rather in the restaurant, in the café. Otherwise he might ask the wrong people to cuddle. When people wear Rochas Man they smell warm, friendly and approachable, confident in themselves and delightfully sweet. I can't imagine anyone wearing Rochas Man to be mean or argumentative.

Rochas is a Perfumery House that knows how to cross time with its head held high, and through respect for each of its customers, it maintains its fragrances in an iconic way, even among the many reformulations that affect most other Houses out there. With the blood donation it became thus nothing, all the more time I had for my smell test of the day. This is a dupe of Moustache EDP Rochas and I would say it's about 90-95% similar although it might get more similar with an aged bottle. In Kismet for Men, vanilla-vetiver-patchouli does a good job of giving an impression of the benzoin in Moustache EDP Rochas. The opening fresh & warm spicy notes last longer in Kismet for Men, but the benzoin in Moustache EDP is more swoon-worthy for those who don't go nose-blind to it. Overall, this is a pretty good dupe, but not better than the OG Moustache EDP imho, since the benzoin is my favourite part. Moustache EDP has better performance.

Performance is indeed low, maybe lower than Coffee Break -- but unless a fragrance is exorbitantly expensive, I really do not mind that -- I don't want my fragrances to speak for me, just to give a subliminal good impression of me. I'm just a little let down by how dated and teenage boy-ish the dry down smells, and for that reason, it is a strong like and not an absolute love, despite the opening minute smelling like a dead ringer for my beloved Coffee Break. As such, it’s more masculine than I’d like. I like my fragrances more complex and unisex, so my suggestion:It's not hugely original but if you like "Sauvage," then this would be a solid alternative; it's less common and more interesting. Mood: Suitable for any time, but perfect on cold days: It is warm and comforting... And seductive, definitely.

The company changed hands several times during the late 20th century. Helene Rochas even returned as a consultant from 1984 to 1989. Proctor and Gamble acquired the company in 2003, and re-launched the fashion division, under the direction of Olivier Theyskens from 2003 to 2006. A two-year hiatus followed, with the fashion company launching yet again in 2008 under its current creative director, Marco Zanini. As for the fragrance, it's actually great. My GF called it champagne perfume at beer store prices. She's not wrong. fresh & clean but not in a bright or aquatic way, very ambroxan heavy, with fruity juniper berry + geranium makes it unisex but masculine leaning (like Coach for Men is);I've seen this one before, and the Moustache. And I wonder how Rochas could bang out this chemical sauce after that wonderful, lush, sophisticated scent. Hurts my heart, and my nose. Uarghigittigitt ...!" Peppery, sweet orange (almost confectionary-like, but in an old-school 1920s style English confectionary store way) opening with a seductive vanilla rose mid and dry down. The benzoin and patchouli tie it all together and drive it, the florals (rose) really come alive in the mid and dry down. An addictive fragrance. Leans more traditionally "masculine". Performance on this is decent as it lasts 6-10 hours but it doesn’t project a lot and is mainly a scent bubble type of scent that makes it a perfect work scent !! Compared to YSL Tuxedo, they’re pretty much the same. I don’t have a super sensitive nose like some people do, but to me, when compared side by side, you can tell YSL Tuxedo is made with higher quality ingredients. Almost like baking a cake with high quality, name brand ingredients vs generic, store brand ingredients. One is just going to be better, even if made in the exact same conditions by the exact same chef. For the price, Moustache is the winner, but if money is not an object, YSL Tuxedo is better. Two hours in the combination is coffee, vanilla, mint, lavender, a hint of white florals and a hint of sandalwood and cedar. There's a sense of something that is not quite dustiness or powderiness but is somewhere close to the two. Is there raspberry? I'm not sure whether I smell it or the notes are suggesting its presence to me.

Rochas launches the new men's perfume L'Homme Rochas in January 2020, described as a romantic and sensual scent for "a neo French lover". The concept and campaign of the new edition revolve around the city of Paris, inspired by the history of this house. One thing to note: the bottle did require a few months of maturating to come fully into its own though. I really didn't like it at first spray. The woody is strong in the base but let other note play forefront. It’s almost boozy but feel like afternoon tea at the same time. When this came out in 2020, i immediately became interested on it, mainly for 2 things. First, i love many other offering from the brand, and second, was created by Bruno Jovanovic, who doesn't have many designers on their portfolio, but is a great nose. Fragrances remain the most important product of the Rochas brand, and Rochas has employed its own in-house perfumer, Jean-Michel Duriez, since 2008.
