Casamigos Blanco Tequila comes from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, produced by the distillery ‘Diageo México Operaciones, SA De CV’. The producer of Casamigos Blanco Tequila Both have different fruits, confectioneries and spices in their respective tastes, with the 1800 Añejo displaying hints of cinnamon, candied pears, butterscotch and toasted oak (plus a finish of cocoa and banana bread). What could sink Casamigos could be the finish, as there’s a slight lingering bitter feeling in the gullet as the last of the añejogoes down.Much like every tequila producer, Casamigos gets its blue weber agave piñas from the red clay soil and relatively cool climate of Jalisco (Mexico). While this affects the overall price of Casamigos tequila, the owners have managed to keep costs reasonable.

Casamigos was in fact ‘accidentally’ founded in 2013 by George Clooney alongside bar and restaurant tycoon Rande Gerber and property developer Mike Meldan. Some years before, Clooney and Gerber were at a bar one night reflecting on how they still hadn’t found their ‘perfect tequila’ despite all the bottles and brands they’d tasted, so doing what any sane tequila-drinking multimillionaire would do, they decided to create their own.You’re also safe in the knowledge that Clooney and Gerber (and their unidentified master distiller) approve of your bottle, as they personally sample each batch before it’s sold, to guarantee quality control.
