This is the worst hair product that I have ever used. It completely ruined my natural afro hair. It is also expensive which is why I thought it will be good. It is better to use a poundland 2 in 1 hair product than these. PLEASE AVOID IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOUR HAIR. Conditioners: HE Hello Hydration and Totally Twisted, Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Threat, Yes to Carrots, Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Mask, and Aussie Moist This is awesome, Jc! I BC'd two years ago next month and experimented with a lot of different products, which is why this list is so long.

Yay! Thank you my biggest concern with it comes to ph are leave in conditioners. I don't want to mix the kimmaytube recipe any longer. I am hoping to find one with a almost neutral ph (not too acid, or alkaline). And then there are a few magical oils that can do both, like coconut oil, argan oil, and olive oil, and, yup, shea butter. Shea butter both moisturizes and seals, so it has the ability to hydrate the cortex of your hair cuticle, then trap that moisture inside. But it’s not just its oil-like properties that make it fantastic for hair—it’s also the fact that it’s rich in: (1) fatty acids, which help “cement” the keratin in your hair to keep it strong; (2) vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps protect against damage-causing free radicals; and (3) triglycerides, a type of fatty acid that helps condition your hair. The tl;dr result? Smoother, healthier, softer hair. Which hair types should use shea butter?Use this mousse to loosen up tight curls, tousle flat hair, or zhoosh up your everyday hair. It can help you explore many different hairstyles and play with different textures. Unless you just discovered the world of beauty yesterday (in which case, hi, welcome, it’s warm here), you already know that shea butter is in basically every freakin’ hair product, from deep conditioners, to curl creams, to co-washes. But it’s not just some throwaway ingredient added for fun: Shea butter is an MVP at moisturizing all drier hair types—especially coily and curly hair types—because it not only helps seal in hydration and smooth rough cuticles for fewer tangles and flyaways, but it can also leave your hair looking super shiny and healthy. Basically, shea butter for hair = a tiny (dry-hair) miracle worker.

Ultimately, you need to moisturize your hair after shampooing with it. You should use a water-based moisturizer like aloe vera gel or flaxseed gel and then seal with an oil (olive oil, coconut oil, etc.). This will help your hair absorb the product better and give it more moisture where it needs it most. Is shea moisture bad for your hair, or are there some hair types with problems with the product? Shea Moisture has a great range of Curly Girl approved gels and custards for all hair types. Don’t be scared to try ones that may not be designed for your specific hair type. Healthy hair required a balance of hydration and protein and when this balance is disrupted, your hair will react and become damaged.I absolutely love SheaMoisture! I've had troubles with my 3a hair most of my life because I didn't know/had been thought to properly take care of my hair. You can use a mousse on both wet and dry hair. However, using it on wet hair delivers better results because of its ability to absorb better when wet and freshly cleansed. The SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Frizz-Free Curl Mousse, blended with Fair Trade Shea Butter, to make your curly hair beautiful and bouncy The Manuka Honey & Mafura OilTwist-Defining Custard has been designed for 4A to 4C hair types but if you have wavy or type 3 hair, don’t let this stop you. Hate this brand, I tried out their shampoo before an event and it absolutely ruined my hair, it was still greasy after washing and my curls just wouldn't stay. I literally had to put on dry shampoo to feel clean right after washing my hair! Oh and also not to forget the clumps of hair that I lost in the shower. My hair was the frizziest they had ever been, and Im not recommending this brand to anyone!!!!

The raw shea butter shampoo and conditioner has completely ruined my hair. I just recently got into nice hair care and the importance of using the right products, I’d heard really good things so I thought I’d try, but after two washes (I wash my hair once a week) my hair was shedding in the shower which is something I’ve never ever had before. I didn’t think much of it and assumed it was normal but after weeks of this happening I decided it was time to change my shampoo and conditioner. I now have the driest most brittle hair which sheds all the time, wet or dry, it just looks lifeless and completely damaged and so so dry, I really have no idea how to save it from here everything I try seems to do nothing, I understand shampoos work differently on different hair but it definitely shouldn’t dry out my hair to this extent, so so upsetting. Conditioner: Suave humectant conditioner, Shea Moisture restorative mask, Giovanni Smooth As Silk, ORS replenishing pak, Ellin Lavar Textures reconstructing mask, Bee Mine deep conditioner Terrible product, the leave in product made my hair extremely dry and the shampoo and conditioner does nothing for my hair. I will no longer be using their products as they don't know how to cater to the originals that created the product in the first place. One of the most important steps on the Curly Girl method is to get a cast. A great cast will help you achieve defined curls, less frizz, and a lot of volume.Bouncy, voluminous curls are in, and it seems like the longstanding trend for wash-and-go hair with larger-than-life volume is rewinding us to the 80s mousse-mania! Whether or not your hair type will love or hate shea butter is really dependent on your porosity, i.e., your hair’s ability to absorb and retain hydration. On low-porosity hair, or just thin, fine hair types, shea butter can leave your hair feeling greasy and lank in high doses, since it’s so rich. But on high-porosity hair, or just drier, coarser, damaged hair, shea butter can be amazing at smoothing and moisturizing, says Reslan. While the John Frieda Curl Reviver is an absolute no-brainer for curlies, it does fall short of expectations when using it on straight and fine hair.
