liam…that’s a real man right there. like where is my own liam landon?? i’m tired of waiting. him being the perfect book bf aside, his character was the sweetest and so understanding and i absolutely loved it. cause let’s be real, who doesn’t want someone like that in their life? Katie has my heart yet again!! This is her second book and just as amazing as her first, which I had zero doubt about. A main character of the book, Lulu, heads to the Bahamas in the early 1940s in the hopes of gaining traction with the royal couple to share gossip with her US magazine readers. She finds a world full of intrigue, WWII spies, a botched murder investigation, and strained race relations on the island. Of course, there is some romance in the book as she crosses paths with the mysterious Benedict Thorpe. I found their island love story very romantic!

The Golden Hour – Niki Smith The Golden Hour – Niki Smith

Begin immediately to work on your most valuable and important task, before you do anything else. Resolve to focus single-mindedly on that one task until it is complete. When you start andfinish your major task first thing in the morning during the golden hour, you will experience a surge of energy, elation and confidence that will propel you into your other tasks, and dramatically increase your overall productivity for the rest of the day. This novel contains all the ingredients for a fascinating work of historical fiction, and it’s penned by a gifted wordsmith. The Golden Hour is a tale of wartime courage, espionage, dashed dreams, renewed hopes, and the tightest bonds of love. My kind of read! The art! How have I gotten this far and not talked about the art yet? Formatted around the idea of the golden hour for photography, there are just some goregous shots in here. Absolutely gorgeous. I only know Niki Smith from The Deep & Dark Blue, but I feel like this book has built on what I loved about that book. Sheyanne is forced to confront her demons and her past relationships that have faded into nothing in the years she’s been gone. And she is forced to confront Liam. A man here on limited time, who seems to see straight through her defenses. He is cool, calm, and collected, and there for her every step of the way. As an individual, you become what you think about, most of the time. You become the sum total result of the ideas, information and impressions you feed into your mind, from the time you get up in the morning until you go to bed at night. Everything counts, but some impressions count more than others. The thoughts with which you flood your mind in the first hour of the morning, the golden hour, have a strong influence on how you think, feel and act for the rest of the day. Improve Your Personal DevelopmentOh how I adore this author, her gorgeous writing, compulsively readable plots, stunning covers, and I wondered, “Can she do it again?” Indeed she can and she did with THE GOLDEN HOUR, set inventively in Nassau, WWII intrigue swirling ‘round the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, multilayered plot lines also weaving in the War to End All Wars. Plus this stunning publisher’s note, best I’ve ever read, whose writer must write his or her own novel! There’s so much to say and not enough words to express how beautiful this story is. From giggle and blushing, to laughing, to hurting, to crying, I experienced it all while reading Sheyanne and Liam’s story. Sheyanne’s character was written with so much love and care I felt understood in many of her emotions and it was wonderful to watch her come into her own and learning how to love and be loved. One of the hardest things to do as a human being is forgiving others for wronging, but what’s even harder than that is forgiving ourselves for pain we caused those we love most. Reading Sheyanne’s journey to forgiving herself was breathtaking in every way possible and admirable every step of the way. Liam Landon por favor que hombre más hermoso y perfecto TODOS NECESITAMOS UN LIAM EN NUESTRAS VIDAS🧎🏽‍♀️ As one of the people who pushed me to write through her beautiful writing, it's no surprise to me that I laughed, cried, died and revived during the read through of this I did. Katie's descriptions render me voiceless every time, the talent of penmanship written all over her work.

Suggested Articles for Successful People sheyanne my girl. i love her so so much i want to give her the biggest hug. she is the strongest character i have ever read about and she deserves everything. i related to sheyanne in many different aspects it felt like she was me. the way she grew and came to love herself i’m so proud of her. I will not trouble you with regurgitating the summary, but if you like a good love story and some mystery and intrigue all wrapped up into one (with the setting of WWI & WWII), then this book is absolutely for you. I will readily admit that this may seem slow to start for some, but it worked perfectly for me. As others have mentioned, the Duke and Duchess only appear peripherally, but I was so enthralled with what would happen to Elfriede and Lulu that I didn't even care. The other characters Shane, MJ, Blake, Gaylee, Liam's grandparents, Wyatt, Mr. Shaw (I'm sad for him) are amazing and I love them💞. Thanks to the Buffalo Library for providing a copy to loan. They always come through for me when I'm declined for an e-arc. :) The American appetite for the Duke and Duchess of Windsor is just insatiable,” Lulu explains about her assignment for Metropolitan magazine. About the royal family she says: “We like to gossip about them, all right. Just not to let them rule over us and all.” Is this still true today? Do you follow the news and gossip about the British royal family? If so, why? I thought it was intriguing how the author made the Windsors, somewhat, central and key, along with the real murder mystery of Henry Oakes; little moments in history that aren't completely solved are fun to read different takes on.
